Oil-Based Circulation Surfactant (ETI -926) is an effective additive added to an oil-based circulation that improves the dispersion of asphaltenes and residues. Due to its organic form, ETI-926 will also reduce diluent recirculation times during a standard shutdown procedure. This method offers the recovery of nearly the total value of the hydrocarbon since the surfactant additive is not stabilized and can even help break emulsions in the slop tank.
